DBISAM to ElevateDB Migration Promotion

In order to encourage DBISAM owners to make the move over to ElevateDB, we are once again offering special pricing on all product migrations.

Customers that currently own DBISAM Standard and DBISAM Standard With Source Code can migrate to the equivalent verison of ElevateDB for $99.00.

Customers that currently DBISAM Client-Server and DBISAM Client-Server with Source Code can migrate to the equivalent version of ElevateDB for $159.00.

To order, visit the ElevateDB product page, and then select your development environment from the list at the bottom of the page. Be sure to select special offer code DBISAM-MIGRATE to apply your discount when adding the product to your order.

This pricing will be in effect until April 30, 2010.

ElevateDB 2.03 Build 9 Released

ElevateDB 2.03 Build 9 is now available for download. If you're an existing customer, then you should be receiving an email shortly with download instructions. This build contains bug fixes for several incident reports, which are detailed here. It also contains the changes to switch the ElevateDB product over to the new logo and colors that are already used on the web site, so you'll be seeing some new icons for the various utilities and servers.

Where in the World Is... ?

At Elevate Software we are thrilled to be able to say that our products are used all around the world. To bring the point home, we are debuting a little something we like to call "Where In The World Is Elevate Software?"

Our new website will have a section devoted to "Where In The World...", in which we will feature Elevate Software gear being worn by our customers. I am offering an ElevateDB t-shirt to the first 25 customers who email me at samyoung@elevatesoft.com. ElevateDB External Modules in Multi-Threaded Delphi Applications

An issue recently surfaced with a customer regarding the use of an ElevateDB external module in a Delphi application that was using multiple threads to execute some SQL scripts. The external module was called within the scripts to do some text processing, and there were only two threads being launched to execute the scripts in the background. Much to the customer's dismay, the external module kept blowing up in various places, with no real pattern or indication of the cause.
