What versions of Windows does DBISAM run on? |

Dave Harrison | If I distribute a Delphi application compiled with DBISAM, am I going to
have to worry about what Windows OS the customer is using? Win'95, '98 etc? I didn't find a compatibility list on your website. Same for ElevateDb. Dave |

I'd worry more about the visual controls than DBISAM. You may get some minor problems with collation order (see the thread on Turkish sorting) but that should be about all. I think Tim could well still be using D5 (or maybe D7) so lacking Windows API calls is unlikely to be a problem. Roy Lambert |

I suppose I could find an empty box around here and install Win'95 just to be sure, but I thought I'd ask here first. If it runs, then I'll look into the collation and visual problems you mentioned. Thanks. Dave |

Frankly, I wouldn't run any Unicode EDB application on any box older than Windows 2000 unless you really want to hassle with making sure that the Unicode layer support for 9x/ME is installed. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

I then installed it on a W98 box and it ran without a hitch. Allan |
