Question about the EngineSig |
Wed, Jun 17 2009 1:28 AM | Permanent Link |
Pat | Hi all,
I have a test app (and data folder, v4) that used the default EngineSignature. I then made a seperate app that changed the EngineSignature to 'NewSig' and ran it on the data folder. I then added an Engine to my original test app and changed its sig to 'NewSig'. Now it opens the data folder OK (these tables have the 'NewSig' signature) AND it also opens tables that have the default EngineSignatue. Can I setup my app so it only opens tables with the sig of 'NewSig' and does NOT open tables that have the default signature? Thanks, Pat |

<< Can I setup my app so it only opens tables with the sig of 'NewSig' and does NOT open tables that have the default signature? >> No, DBISAM always allows itself to open tables with the default engine signature. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
