"Petter Topp" | Sorry about the previous message - it was sent by mistake.
Hi. I have a table with two blob fields (and several others). I want to alter the structure of the table - in this case add a couple of fields. In Dbsys everything works as expected, however when I open the altered table in my application I get: DBISAM Engine Error # 8963 BLOB block buffers corrupt in the table 'MyTable' If I try to open the table using Dbsys, it seems to be ok. I have tried to repair the table, but the issue prevails. What is wrong? I have emptied the table, altered, then populated the table with data. This seems to work. Should not Dbsys be able to alter tables with blob data in them? Br. Petter Topp Dbisam 4.29 |

<< Before alteration. >> I tried adding a string field and an integer field to the end of the structure, and then ran a repair on the table after the alteration, and the table checks out just fine. Could you tell me which alterations you're trying to make to the table ? Also, just so you know, I did do a repair on the table before I started the alteration, and it indicated that the indexes were corrupted. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

"Petter Topp" | Hi Tim.
I just discovered that I have created and altered the tables using Dbsys ver. 4.29 while running VCL 4.26. This is probably the problem or? Petter Topp | Hi Tim.
I have just purchased a support plan for Dbisam, and then I will have access to 4.29 as soon as you have processed my order.
