Roberto | Is it required to do some actions (tables reindex for example) if a dbisam database is moved in a different Windows version ? For example a database created in Windows Xp moved to a Windows 7 PC
thanks in advance |

<< Is it required to do some actions (tables reindex for example) if a dbisam database is moved in a different Windows version ? For example a database created in Windows Xp moved to a Windows 7 PC >> You might need to run a repair on the tables if you are not using the ANSI Standard locale. There were some minor locale/collation changes between the two OS's that may affect the indexes. Your best bet, if you're using a non-ANSI Standard locale for your tables, is to run a verify (TDBISAMTable.VerifyTable) on all tables once they are moved to Windows 7. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
