Content of Memo Fields doesn't Export from DBISAM Database System Utility |

robkraft | I recently downloaded the utilities including DBISAM Database System Utility Version 4.40. I am trying to export data out of some DBISAM tables, but the content of Memo fields does not get exported to my .CSV files. I can't find any configuration options related to this, so I assume this is a bug.
If so, can it be fixed soon, or do you know if it works on older versions of the software? Thanks, Rob Kraft |

Not a bug but by design. Data in memo contain data not supported by CSV for example - dbsys has no way of knowing. If you know your memo data is OK (i.e. is clear text with no line breaks or other control characters) you might be able to cast it to string and export that. Otherwise for more complex data every application can implement their own custom export/import. Raul |

robkraft | Thanks for the quick reply Raul. I guess that makes sense. It took me a few hours but I've got it working with ODBC.
