"Ole Willy Tuv" | Julio,
<< ElevateDB from elevatesoft.com. The best Delphi/VCL database ever. >> FWIW, I really stand behind my comment. After evaluating and testing ElevateDB for several months, my impression is that ElevateDB is far ahead of any other Delphi/VCL database engine in terms of design and quality. In particular, the design of properly separating the metadata (catalog support) and the data storage is IMO very good. This design makes standard database access (like ODBC, OLEDB and ADO.NET) a lot easier. I think Tim has put in a really good development job with this product, and the regular ElevateSoft customers should be proud of him. Regards, Ole Willy Tuv |

I'm almost done with the ODBC Driver, and I swear I've cut out over ~4,000 lines of code in it, and it was only ~16,000 lines of code in DBISAM. Sticking with the SQL 2003 standard has made the CLI fit a lot better, and will allow the EDB ODBC Driver to port to unixODBC very easily. << I think Tim has put in a really good development job with this product, and the regular ElevateSoft customers should be proud of him. >> Thank you. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
