EDB version for Linux64 ... what can I do with this? |

Adam Brett Orixa Systems | Just checking:
The EDB Version for Linux64 exists to build server applications, so I can run my own version of edbsrvr.exe on a Linux box. It is not possible to include a TEDBQuery/TEDBTable in an FMX App, or other Linux App is it? For that you have to use FireDAC. Adam |

Mario Enríquez Open Consult | Hi Adam,
I believe is linux versíon only allows for hosting your database server on a linux box. The TEDBQuery, etc are VCL only. So I believe there is not FMX benefit here and FireDAC is not a option. However, I been considering switching my database server (currently on Windows Server 2019) to a linux box and save some $$ (Azure), but not sure how stable the current version is. Regards, Mario |
