<< Great feature. ![]() >> No, and a lot of these features are actually for 2.03, but are getting snuck in little by little because of the time frames involved. Once things are settled down, then the new help system in the EDB Manager (another 2.03 feature) will include complete help for the EDB Manager itself. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

It seems so much better than MS Help2. Roy Lambert |

<< Is the help a roll-your-own? It seems so much better than MS Help2. >> Yep. I tried everything to avoid it (which is what took so long), but in the end it was just smoother to implement my own that could work seamlessly inside of the EDB Manager. You can find the base code for it in the EDB Manager source code: the UI is in the helpfrm.pas unit/form and the help manager code is in the edbutilcomps.pas unit. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Yeah - do you think he could sell it to CodeGear or M$? Roy Lambert |

> Yeah - do you think he could sell it to CodeGear or M$? Both won't admit that they are on the wrong track. And M$ would first buy elevatesoft, then quickly destroy the new help system. btw: did you every try to press F1 in Delphi2007? Google is definetely faster. ![]() Uli |

>Both won't admit that they are on the wrong track. And M$ would first >buy elevatesoft, then quickly destroy the new help system. Hmm I'd forgotten that tendency of M$. I still haven't forgiven them for doing that to In-Defence / M@ilDefence >btw: did you every try to press F1 in Delphi2007? Google is definetely >faster. ![]() I'm stuck on D2006 and if you add treacle that's how the OLH feels. Roy Lambert |

<< Great work!! >> Thanks. It also has the ability to install new help files, but the intra-help-namespace links aren't working yet. The idea is to allow you to install the compiler-specific help files, and use the EDB Manager as a help viewer. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
