EDB Manager--fixed columns in grid |

Charles Tyson | When browsing a table in the EDBManager grid, I'd like to keep key
fields in view as I scroll far, far to the right. Could you expose TCustomGrid.FixedCols via a "cracker" class, and add a right-click option to the column header which would "Freeze this column (and columns to the left)"? |

It depends upon how well the TDBGrid behaves when you starting mucking around with the underlying TCustomGrid options. It's a great idea, so I'll see what I can do. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

I know you don't like using third party software but for this I really can recommend Mike Skolnik's freeware SMDBGrid. I've used it for years. I moved away from it to TMS for prettyness but I've put my version back to regain speed. My version chops out a lot of the stuff in Mike's that I don't want like footers and multiline column titles.
