I'll start. Still using... it's my primary Web client development tool! I know there is still interest. When I post blog entries I do get a bunch of hits on my web server. And not all are robots according to the webalizer screens. Tim has shared some details on sales, but it's none of my business, not my news to share, and I've forgotten the specifics anyways. As long as I get support, I will continue to pay for that privilege. I've looked at Quartex and TMS and FreePascal which can generate both JavaScript and WebAssembler. All three promise more features such as interfaces, asm(), etc., but I personally prefer EWB for a bunch of reasons, not just cost, but also developer flexibility and the quality of the results. Also, look at the license agreement, EWB's is much less restrictive. There is a small graveyard of Delphi-like Web development systems from Smart Mobile Studio onward. I would feel better if a new release were coming. Erick EWB Programming Books and Nice Component Library See my EWB BLOG posts, at: http://www.erickengelke.com |

Walter I've looked at the competing frameworks quite often. For me, the quality of EWB's design indicates to me that it;s substantially superior to the rest - and very reasonably priced. I'll be sticking weth EWB. I do share conserns about how quiet the forum has become however (but my general observations seem to indicate that it may in part be a bit of a Covid thing - most forums I visit are quieter than before). Also, maybe we could be doing more to promote this excellent product (it doesn't seem to get much exposia in Pascal land). |

Bruno Larochelle | Ninth year for me... I first purchased EWB in 2014, and it has been the greatest ride since. I totally intend to continue for as long as I continue programming.

Ralf Mimoun | EWB is the best tool I am aware of for small/medium sized solutions (I would not try to build Facebook or Youtube with it) and for prototyping. Made way more money with it that it costs. Especially the turnaround times are phenomenal, eg. fix a typo, press a button, and 2 seconds later the web app is updated.
I just started to build a prototype for a web app which allows external contacts to download PDFs, like shipping documents. In a week I should have something up and running so we can show it to the customers, with database and everything. Another week to go live. Try that with any other product. |
